Community Action of East Central Indiana, Inc.
has announced that the Energy Assistance Program
will begin on October 5, 2009

Appointments can now be made by contacting one of the following C.A.E.C.I. locations by August 29th.

Richmond Office 1845 West Main St

8:00 am & 4:00 pm		 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays

Liberty, IN		 (765) 458-6534 Between
9:00 am & 4:00 pm		 Tuesday and
Thursdays

Emergency applications for those who are out of fuel, disconnected, or up for disconnect will be taken each day starting October 5th in Fayette and Wayne Counties and on October 6th in Union County.

Guidelines are:   

150% Household Size     Gross Income
1 $    16,245
2 $    21,855
3 $    27,465
4 $    33,075
5 $    38,685
For each additional household member add $      5,610

Households seeking heating assistance in Wayne, Fayette, or Union Counties must bring with them:

  1. All income for every household member age 18 and over for the past 12 months prior to the date of application

  2. Social Security cards for every household member

  3. Heat and electric bills

  4. Copy of leases or contracts where landlords pay for either heat and/or electric or if you live in subsidized housing (example – HUD or Sect. 8)

  5. Employment check stubs or print-out

  6. Copy of unemployment print-outs, etc.

The above constitute acceptable documentation of income.  If you do not have access to any of the needed information, please contact CAECI to get the necessary forms.

NO APPLICATION WILL BE STARTED IF ALL NEEDED INFORMATION IS NOT PRESENT

There are also Energy Assistance Program Applications available through the mail.  Those interested in this method of applying or have any questions concerning the Energy Assistance Program should contact their local agency office.
